King Charles III surprised South African President Cyril Ramaphosa with his speech at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The 74-year-old monarch chose to open his speech using six greetings from nine African languages - including Venda, President Ramaphosa’s own language. His amazing gesture drew massive applause.
Ramaphosa’s reaction to Charles’ words went down a storm as he was seen reacting enthusiastically and turning to the princess after each statement. Kate’s ever-green smile and positive vibes also got the cameras rolling and apparently distracted the monarch from her speech.
Kate Middleton, who is undoubtedly the epitome of beauty, style and culture, grabbed all the attention as she let her composure slip for a moment during her father-in-law’s speech.
Some began to speculate that Kate had stolen Charles’ thunder. Prince William’s wife drew huge applause for her chic look in a white Jenny Packham ‘Elspeth’ bridal gown, which was embellished with sequins. She completed her elegant look with a Lovers Knot tiara – a favorite of the late Princess Diana.
