Sources say that PPP and PML-N have not given any response while BNPM and JUIF have asked for some time for consultation at the party level.
Local media quoted sources as saying that a no-confidence motion against the Chairman Senate is likely to be presented in the coming days as the political parties have completed preparations.
The sources further said that the Muslim League-N and the People’s Party consulted regarding the no-confidence motion against Sanjrani. However, other political parties in the coalition government – including JUI-F, MQM-P, BNP-M and ANP – are yet to take a final decision.
The no-confidence motion will be tabled after consultation with all four political parties and prior permission will be taken at the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders’ meeting.
Sources further said that PTI also distanced itself from Sanjrani and demanded her resignation. In the meeting between President Dr. Arif Alvi and Sanjrani, issues related to the expected no-confidence motion were also discussed.
