Piers Morgan has criticized Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Kerry Kennedy, calling it “outrageous” that the Sussexes will be given a prestigious award for standing up against the royal family’s ‘racism’.
The former Good Morning Britain (GMB) host joined “Fox & Friends” on Monday to discuss why he thinks it’s “absolutely disgusting” that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received the top honor. .
Morgan said: “I think it’s absolutely disgusting and disgraceful for Kerry Kennedy, frankly, to defame her father’s name and memory in this way.”
The 57-year-old added: “The idea that these two petty grifters, retired from royal duties, have left Britain … exploited and put their royal titles in their back pockets for hundreds of millions of dollars … your own style. Being hailed as some kind of hero in America by the royal family, the Kennedys if you will, it really sticks in my throat.”
He continued: “And I think they should reconsider it, because I think it’s just, to me, it’s a reflection of the ugliness of modern celebrity when you have two people putting their families on national television. Go out of their way to trash the vision.”
Morgan also shared her thoughts on the Duke’s upcoming memoir, saying: “Harry’s got this book coming out, and he’s going to do it all with his father who’s now the king, who’s still Mourning, of course, his mother’s death. . . .
He continued: “You’ve got Meghan Markle, a kind of bisexual actress who married into a family, took our favorite prince, took him to America, and now spends all her time attacking the monarchy. Just trying to.”
“And I’m sorry, but as a monarchist and a person who loves this country, I think it’s completely outrageous that he’s now been given a cloak of honor and dignity and branded a hero by a Kennedy. Going to…” Morgan added.
