KARACHI: Saud Shakeel, the domestic cricketer and captain of Sindh in the Quaid-e-Azam (QeA) Trophy for 2022-23, is optimistic about his much-anticipated Test debut. Pakistan Against England in the home series scheduled in December this year.
The left-hander, who has been traveling with the national squad on their last few tours, is being considered for retention during the home series.
With three centuries during the domestic QeA Trophy, the 27-year-old is looking forward to wearing the trophy. Assay cap on home ground this year.
“First of all, our team Sindh is doing very well in the tournament and Alhamdulillah we are in the final race,” said Saud, who at the time was joined by former Pakistan Test captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Fawad Alam, and Fawad Alam. He is also the captain of Sindh. Other Test Cricketers

Saud, who made his first-class debut in 2015, has scored 573 runs at an average of 57.30 in seven matches in this year’s QeA Trophy.
“Yes, I am very excited. of England Pakistan’s Test tour,” replied Saud, who is optimistic about his Test debut but is not thinking too much about it. “Only the performance is in my hands and I am concentrating on that. Obviously, Pakistan’s representation in Tests is thought of every time. My first target is to make my Test debut for Pakistan and then think about performing.”
Asked about his excitement to play England’s James Anderson in home conditions, the Karachi-born cricketer responded with an excited smile on his face.
“Obviously, he is [Anderson] A legend, and playing him would be a dream come true. It will be a great honor if I get a chance to face him,” he concluded.
England will reach Islamabad on November 27 as per the current schedule. The English team will play three Tests. The first in Rawalpindi from December 1 to 5, the second in Multan from December 9 to 13 and the last in Karachi from December 17 to 21.
