Sydney: Pakistan captain Babar Azam took a dig at the critics of the men in green and told them to “enjoy” now that the team has reached the T20 World Cup final.
Before the semi-finals, When Pakistan defeated New Zealand by seven wickets. There were questions in everyone’s mind about the team’s opening pair of Babar and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan. But after his sensational performance in the crucial match, he has proved his critics wrong.
In the press conference after the win, the captain admitted that Pakistan had not had a good start in the multi-nation tournament. The team lost to India and then Zimbabwe.
But then, they never looked back as they defeated all three teams in the group stage. And thanks to the Netherlands winning against South Africa, Pakistan made it to the semi-finals.
Babar said that there are ups and downs in cricket but I was sure that we would make a comeback. I thank my team management because they kept my morale high.
For the final of the tournament, the skipper said that no matter which team Pakistan faces, the Man in Green will give it his 100%. They will face either India or England, who will play the second semi-final in Adelaide on Thursday.

He added that you can of course criticize but avoid personalization. The critics should enjoy now that the team has reached the finals.
