James Gunn and Peter Safran are answering the wishes of DC fans.
According to deadlinenew CEO Gunn tweeted a thread saying “He opened up Twitter at the end of a long creative weekend to see several tweets on #SaveLegendsofTomorrow and #ReleaseTheAyerCut and fans for various DC projects over the years. The calls came in. Most of the requests were enthusiastic and respectful.
As the new (and first) CEO of DC Studios, he said, “Peter and I think it’s important that we acknowledge you, the fans, and let you know that we’re excited for DC going forward. So listen to your various wishes.”
While clearly not promising anything concrete, Gunn suggested he hasn’t ruled anything out.
“Although our ability to communicate on Twitter has been reduced due to the workload of our new positions, we are listening and open to everything as we embark on this journey,” Ghosn said. ” said Gunn, “and will continue to do so for the next few years. . . .
The director-cum-CEO also said that his earlier projects would not be revivals.
“All of our initial focus is on advancing the story, hammering out the new DCU, and telling the biggest story ever across multiple films, television shows, and animated projects,” Gunn said. “We invite all DC fandom from across the multiverse — and everyone else — to this new universe. We can’t wait to reveal more.”
James Gunn and Peter Safran recently joined DC Studios to lead DC’s film, TV and animation.
