Faisal Shafi and Hara Dewan are participating in their second major marathon in forty days. Faisal Shafi had earlier qualified for the Boston Marathon 2024 by running the Berlin Marathon in three hours, six minutes and seven seconds on September 25.
Heera Dewan completed the London Marathon in three hours and four minutes.
Many runners of Pakistani origin from America, Great Britain and Australia are participating in these competitions.
Ahead of the New York Marathon on Friday, Pakistani runners participated in a parade carrying Pakistani flags in Central Park. The event was broadcast live on American channels.
Sadiq Shah, Mohammad Sajjad, Umair Hafeez, Rehman Azhar, Affan Baig and Muzamil Niazi will represent Pakistan in the 44th Istanbul Marathon. Sadiq Shah ran a marathon in 2020. He covered the distance of 42.20 km in three hours and 42 minutes.
