Prince Harry’s highly anticipated memoir Spare A publishing expert claims he is tipped for success even if he is criticized by critics or royal fans.
Penguin Random House, the Duke of Sussex’s publisher, confirmed the title and release date of Prince Harry’s memoir in late October, stating that the book will hit shelves on January 10, 2023. The announcement comes after speculation that it will be released during the peak holiday season of 2022.
Commenting on why the timing of the release will not affect the success of Prince Harry’s memoir, Rutger Bruning, founder and CEO of memoir writing service StoryTerrace, said: Newsweek, “Prince Harry’s memoir is such a highly anticipated release that it’s almost irrelevant when they release it.”
“Because of the secrecy and hype, every new update on it creates sensational headlines, keeping the conversation about the book fresh at any given time,” Bruning explained.
“Given Harry’s stature, his book is almost impervious to the release times and market considerations that plague most authors,” he added.
“Even if the book is panned by critics, the public interest in Harry and the royal family is strong enough to make the book highly critical from a sales point of view… its “Backward anticipation means it’s going to do well, no matter what. When it’s released,” Bruning concluded.
