Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Star Lupita Nyong’o teased that big changes are coming for the franchise.
The Oscar winner spilled the beans on the future of her character. “We never imagined a world where Chadwick wouldn’t exist. It really shakes you. It shakes you, and it makes you realize, ‘Look, the future is so far away, and the future is so far away.’ Expected.’ Nyong’o added that when you experience something like that, it makes your presence so much more important.
“This story was born out of that – the urgency of losing it,” she added, “and everything had to be refocused, and so for me, when I think about imagining Naqya. – Right now, I’m just looking forward to getting it out into the world, at this stage, and then being open to whatever comes next. But I think what happened in this movie is what we have a lot of. with options.”
