- Putin says it is unlikely that Germany will take Russian gas through an unsafe line of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

- Putin said it was impossible for Germany to take Russian gas.
Two days after Berlin rejected their initial offer, Russian President Vladimir Putin said it was unlikely Germany would take Russian gas from an intact line of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
“The decision has not been made, and it is not possible, but it is no longer our business; it is the business of our partners,” Putin said.
The Nord Stream pipelines, built to transport gas under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, suffered damage that was not immediately apparent and was labeled sabotage by European countries.
Putin said on Wednesday that an undamaged line of the defunct Nord Stream 2 pipeline could still be used to transport Russian gas to Europe, but a German government representative dismissed the possibility.
“They have to decide what is more important to them: fulfilling the promise of some kind of alliance, as they see it, or protecting their national interests,” Putin said.
