Since winter and smog have set into the province of Punjab, the School Education Department (SED) has declared that beginning on October 15th, school hours would change.
Public and private schools for boys will have new operating hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Similarly, on Monday through Thursday, girls’ schools will open 15 minutes earlier than boys’ schools and run from 8:15 AM until 1:45 PM, and on Friday, from 8:15 AM to 11:45 PM.
Keep in mind that the ultimate word on school start and end times will come from the Secretary of School Education.
To help to matriculate and intermediate students succeed academically without the help of expensive private instructors or expensive residential academies, the Ministry of Education in Pakistan created a free online academy named Insaf Academy last month.
Murad Raas, the education minister for the Indian province of Punjab, said that the initiative will allow students to take extra lessons without having to pay for them out of their own pockets.
He tweeted that children in high school would benefit from the Insaf Academy’s 7,000+ video lectures and multiple-choice exams. To his point, he said it would level the playing field for kids from all walks of life.
