On Thursday, former prime minister Imran Khan called on young people to fight back against inequality.
He was speaking to the students of the Rawalpindi-based Pir Mehr Ali Shah Ardid Agricultural University.
The leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cited Aristotle, who wrote that people should speak up against dictators, as an example of an influential figure who believed in the necessity of speaking out.
According to Imran, “the Holy Prophet (PBUH) also permitted war against injustice.” Tragically, “the jihad in our country is done sitting inside the houses, in our hearts.”
He brought attention to the fact that the country has progressed to the point where enormous money thieves have been acquitted. “Petty crooks go to jail, while dacoits who have been plundering the country are left free.”
The leader of the PTI continued by saying that the thieves posing as politicians were now household names because of him.
Imran said that he needs to go to court every day since a fresh FIR gets filed against him.
While the former prime minister was speaking, students continued to scream in support of him.
There was a resounding chorus of “We shall win and fight for freedom” from the youngsters.
Imran said that a fearful individual could never be a leader, calling it the biggest obstacle to achieving freedom. “Instead, he transforms into Nawaz Sharif, who runs away to London at the first sign of trouble.”
The former prime minister reaffirmed that slaves will forever be forced to clean their masters’ boots.
The PTI chairman cited a saying by Maulana Rumi, “If God has given you wings, then why are you crawling like ants.” As the saying goes, “freedom must be stolen,” or at least the bonds must be shattered.
Imran said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was pleading with the international community for relief while his government was busy embezzling money from the country.
The leader of the PTI added, “No one obtains a top office in our nation unless a serious crime has not been committed,” as he renewed his appeal for the long march against the imported government whose cabinet is made up of crooks out on bail.
He responded, “Just wait for my call.” As the leader, I shall take the initiative.
