Rawalpindi: The 252nd Corps Commanders Conference was held at GHQ on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The participants took a comprehensive review of the current internal and external security situation and operational preparedness of the army. The forum was apprised of the relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas and the assistance of the army to the civil administration for the post-flood situation, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan.
Expressing satisfaction over the operational readiness of the formations, the COAS reiterated the commitment of the Pakistan Army to defend the motherland against all threats.
The forum expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s strong nuclear command and control structure and security arrangements related to the country’s strategic assets. As a responsible nuclear-weapon state, Pakistan has taken all necessary steps to strengthen its nuclear security system, which is in line with international best practices, the forum was told.
