Edward, Prince of Wales, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, were spotted dabbing their eyes with tissues at the funeral of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The Countess of Wessex, Her Majesty’s closest daughter-in-law, was observed sniffling into a tissue.
At a particularly touching moment, the Queen’s youngest son was seen dabbing his eyes with his white gloves.
The Duke and Duchess of Wessex sat in the front row, among King Charles III, the Queen Consort, Camilla, Princess Royal, Anne, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence, and Prince Andrew.
There were reports that even the Duke of York was in tears when he entered the historic cathedral for the ritual.
On Monday, members of the royal family were among the 2,000 mourners who gathered at the ancient church. Also in attendance were international leaders, famous politicians, and other royals from across the world.
