Syed Amin-ul-Haque, Minister of Information Technology, and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Member of National Assembly, recently paid a visit to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad to update him on the current state of the country and the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected areas.
Others in attendance included the Minister of the Interior, Rana Sanaullah, the Minister of Economic Affairs, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Ahad Cheema.
On Wednesday, September 14, Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddique and Federal Minister of Information Technology Aminul Haq met with Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to express regret over the killing of the party’s missing persons.
Here it is important to note that four bodies were discovered in rural Sindh. Three of them had been MQM employees who had vanished without a trace for a long time.
He also promised the grieving relatives of the lost workers that anyone responsible for the crime would face severe consequences.
Rana Sanaullah has harshly criticized the event and promised a thorough probe into the matter.
He insisted the Sindh government will investigate the event.
He assured everyone that those responsible would be held accountable and punished severely.
The finding of the remains of MQM missing employees was described as a slap in the face of the constitution and justice by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari in a tweet.
It demonstrates the inability of federal and provincial governments to address this pressing problem.
The missing people issue was discussed in the committee set up to investigate the problem.
He said that the courts should have been asked to produce Irfan Baccarat, Abid Abbasi, and Waseem Akhtar (alias Raju) if they were indeed needed.
Years went by with them still missing and no charges brought against them. At some point afterward, they were dead, and with them, law and justice.
