Lahore: India is expected to release two lakh cusecs of rail in the Ravi river, on the basis of which the Indus Water Commissioner has written an emergency letter.
In this regard, Hum News has reported that the Indus Water Commissioner in an urgent letter to India has taken a position that there are reports of evacuation of Abad Gurdapur area near Ravi river.
The letter written by the Indus Water Commissioner warned that the 2 lakh cusecs relay would pose a threat to human life and animals at large.
In the letter, the Indian commissioner has been asked to respond immediately, understanding the gravity of the situation.
According to Hum News, the Indus Water Commissioner has written in the letter that there is a possibility of floods in Pakistan in the next 24 hours.
It should be noted that India has in the past also suddenly issued flood relays from Pakistan, causing huge damage to the country as villages and villages were inundated, standing crops were destroyed and communication routes were washed away.
There have also been allegations that India is withholding water from Pakistan by flouting international laws during the water shortage.
