750 prisoners escaped after rebels attacked a prison in Congo.
At least five people, including two policemen, were killed in the attack in the eastern city of Butembo, local officials said.
Congolese military spokesman Captain Anthony Moloche said rebels from the rebel group Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) attacked Kakwangura prison during a prisoner transfer.
He said three ADF attackers were killed in the attack. He said the rebels launched the attack on information that female prisoners of their group were to be transferred from Beni to Butembo.
