A special meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Miftah Ismail. In the meeting, the ECC directed to shift Fatima Fertilizer (Shekhopura Plant) and Agritech plants to local gas.
ECC also directed the concerned Ministries to fix gas price/VCM for fertilizers for Fatima Fertilizers and Agritech plants.
The ECC has approved the lifting of restrictions on import of all goods except vehicles, mobile phones and home appliances under the CBU condition.
Items picked up include confectionery, crockery, furniture, fish and frozen food, fruits and dried fruits, personal weapons, import of footwear, sauces, shampoo, makeup, luxury mattresses, sleeping bags, jams, among other items.
