Lahore/Karachi: The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has announced a nationwide strike on 18 July.
Banners were put up at the petrol pumps of Lahore regarding the strike and demands, according to the General Secretary of the Petroleum Dealers Association, the minimum wage has been increased to 25 thousand, and the commission of dealers should be increased, and electricity has also become expensive. The load shedding cost of the generator increased.
The association has demanded that the government pay a 6 percent commission as promised to the dealers, while the movement of oil tankers has come to a standstill due to the non-drainage of rainwater in the Kemari oil installation areas.
According to Mir Shams Shahwani, President of the All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association, apart from Kemari, the rainwater is still accumulating in the oil installation areas of Korangi and Port Qasim, around 6 thousand oil tankers are waiting to be filled in the affected installation area. . There is rainwater in front of the oil terminals of 21 oil importing companies established in Kemari, no oil tanker could be filled since Sunday.
He said that the delivery of petroleum products across the country has come to a standstill due to the suspension of the filling process. Due to these circumstances, there is a possibility of a fuel crisis in the whole country. The federal and provincial governments should make arrangements for water.
