The Punjab Sports Board has proposed their names to recognize the six sportsmen who have succeeded in their various sports and made their country proud.
Among those nominated for the civic prize are Paralympic gold medalist Haider Ali, Inam Butt, and Shahrooz Kashif, the youngest climbers to scale the world’s highest peaks.
They get this award from their country’s sports governing body, along with IBSF snooker champion Ahsan Ramzan, Olympic javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, and Kabaddi World Cup vice-captain Shafiq Chishti.
The director general of sports in Punjab, Javed Chohan, thanked the government for the honors and said that these national heroes deserved the highest national awards because they are good examples for the future.
Indeed, they deserve to be honored with the highest national honors in appreciation of the significant achievements they have made. Young people look forward to these athletes as role models. “
Javed Chohan also told Pakistan’s young male and female athletes to be inspired by these legends and win gold for their country.
