The Punjab police have set up a jail complaint management system application to make it easier for inmates to file complaints online and to make the process of dealing with complaints there more open and clear.
Shahid Saleem Baig stated in a statement that the application has been released to serve as a means of communication between the public and jail officials.
It’s a system that links all of Punjab’s jails so that the public can report problems and get them fixed as quickly as possible, he explained.
Approved complaints may be lodged and tracked using this program, the IG Prisons stated. The software would be accessible on both Android and Apple mobile devices as well.
The Inspector General (IG) stated that prison complaint system openness is a major goal of this smartphone application.
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) created the software, which was first tested at the Lahore District Jail before being made available to the rest of Punjab.
