Due to the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board’s (PCTB) ineptitude, three million students in Punjab will begin the new academic year without textbooks.
A protracted delay in publishing books for grades six to nine has been blamed on many management concerns at PCTB. By the end of August, PCTB should have all of the volumes in its possession for distribution. Students will have to suffer till then as a result of PCTB’s poor leadership.
Several parents have expressed major worries. It’s been stated that the lack of textbooks is making it difficult for students to finish their normal assignments.
This year’s summer vacation homework may not be completed in time for the province’s holiday, teachers have warned.
Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) spokeswoman claimed that owing to political uncertainties, the printing of books has been pushed back.
Due to the lack of regular ministers in Punjab’s SED and HED departments, the delays have gotten worse over the last several weeks.
