Since OGRA has submitted a working paper for the government’s approval of a new tariff, prices of petroleum products are expected to rise by Rs31 to Rs85 per liter starting May 16.

In addition, the authority has proposed various ways to raise the price of gasoline and diesel over time. The first plan calls for the cost of petroleum to be raised to Rs31 per liter. The second proposal proposed that Petrol prices rise from Rs45.14 to Rs46.14.
Fuel subsidies would rise to Rs45.14 per liter on May 16, according to sources in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OGRA).
It is suggested that the price of diesel should be increased by Rs50 per liter in the first proposal, and it is suggested that the price of diesel be increased from Rs85.85 per liter in the second plan.
According to reliable sources, the current diesel subsidy is Rs73.4 per liter.
