Users of Google Translate are now subject to a new guideline from the company. Users of Google Translate were given the option of saving their search history to their Google accounts or continuing to use the service without logging in.
According to Android Police, Google Translate displayed a warning prompt informing users that their search history would only be accessible if they were signed in. Individual searches might be saved to a user’s computer or mobile phone. This was fantastic for privacy but not so much for cross-platform consistency. For the rest of the day, no one mentioned the feature.
Recording into your Google account makes it easy to see and modify your activity logging settings.
The Web & App Activity control setting must be switched on to work for the cloud sync. Every few hours, cloud-based translation histories are synchronized with local histories, allowing them to remain local for some time.
Since Google has a history of introducing new rules and then gradually spreading them out, the latest Translate policy will likely take some time to become generally available to all users.
