Muntaqa Peracha has been named MD of Foodpanda Pakistan with effect from June 1, 2022, according to Foodpanda.
It will be up to Muntaqa in her new role as MD to keep an eye on Foodpanda’s entire operations in Pakistan, including their expansion and growth, as well as the introduction of new business verticals.
Muntaqa has served as Foodpanda Pakistan’s Commercial Director for the past two and a half years, helping the company become a household name in Pakistan.
The main food delivery company was overseen by Muntaqa, who worked to make Foodpanda the preferred platform for vendors, customers, and riders alike throughout his time there.
When foodpanda first started out, he was important in the company’s growth, developing key industry partnerships and strengthening local teams within the company, and pushing significant investments in capacity building.
Aside from that, he’s grown the foodpanda Home Chefs program to include more than 10,000 registered home-based companies and created additional verticals, including cloud kitchens and pandago, along with the foodpanda Logistics as a Service Vertical for rapid and on-demand deliveries.
After directing teams in high-growth IT firms in Pakistan and abroad for more than 18 years, Muntaqa brings his knowledge of developing markets, strategy, growth, commercial innovation, and business/profitability turnarounds to the table.
According to Jakob Angele, the CEO of foodpanda Asia, “Muntaqa has been a vital part of foodpanda’s development path for the last several years, and I’m optimistic that foodpanda will continue to spread across Pakistan and reach new milestones in the years ahead.”
Muntaqa Peracha, the new MD of foodpanda Pakistan, remarked, “I’m honored to take on this role.” Thanks to the foodpanda leadership team, I’m looking forward to leading the team as we expand our presence in Pakistan and better serve our community of riders, merchants, and consumers.
