The much-anticipated 15th season of the popular Indian television game show, “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC), is set to premiere on August 14, 2023. The announcement was made by Sony Entertainment Television through their official social media accounts, where they shared a promotional video revealing the start date.
The show, which has been a staple of Indian television since its inception in 2000, will continue to be hosted by the beloved Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, fondly known as Big B. Bachchan has been the face of the show for all but one season, with Shah Rukh Khan stepping in to host the third season.

In the promotional video, Bachchan warmly invites contestants and viewers to the new season, hinting at exciting content to come. He refers to the upcoming season as a “new beginning,” sparking curiosity about what changes the new season might bring. In a previous teaser, it was suggested that this season would introduce a new concept, hinting at a more technologically advanced version of the show.
The show will air from Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM Indian Standard Time. It will be broadcasted on Sony TV and will also be available for streaming on Sony LIV.
Bachchan, who recently celebrated the 1000th episode of the show, has been open about the challenges he faced when deciding to take on the project due to financial constraints. Despite these difficulties, he has remained committed to the show and even initiated the tradition of sprinting towards the stage for the show’s introduction, a tradition he has maintained despite advice to the contrary.
