Warning: SPOILER for Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 Episode 19 – “Supernova, Part 1”Star Trek has developed a bad habit of killing its villains needlessly, but Star Trek: Genius Episode 19, “Supernova, Part 1”, did the right thing with Asencia (Jameela Jamil). Asencia’s plan came to fruition in “Supernova, Part 1” as they sent their weapon, the Living Construct USS Protostar, into Federation space. Predictably, the Protostar was intercepted by a Starfleet fleet, which is exactly what Asencia wanted. All she had to do was board the Protostar to activate the Living Build, which would send a signal for Starfleet to destroy itself.
Asencia revealed that she was indeed a Vau’Nakat. Star Trek: Genius Episode 15, “The Masquerade Ball.” Naming himself Vindicator, Asencia was one of a hundred Vau’Nakat and Drednoks who volunteered on a one-way mission to travel back in time and find the USS Protostar. Disguised as Trill, Asencia infiltrates Starfleet and becomes a Lieutenant assigned to the mission of Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) aboard the USS Dauntless to find the Protostar and Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran). When the Diviner arrived on Dauntless, Asencia helped him regain his memories and plotted behind Janeway. Vindicator’s master plan was accomplished when he activated the Living Structure on Protostar.
Star Trek: Not Killing Prodigy Asencia Was The Right Move
thank you Star Trek: Genius He didn’t kill Asencia. Vindicator survived his battle with Gwyn (Ella Purnell) on Protostar’s bridge and successfully activated Living Construct. To reinforce that he is a great villain, Asencia killed the Diviner, who chose his daughter to complete her quests, and she escaped from the Protostar inside Drednok. This means that Asencia could potentially return. Star Trek: Genius season 2. While “Supernova, Episode 1” has finally reached its destination and Starfleet is on the verge of self-destruction, Asencia is now trapped in the late 24th century and its story is far from over.
Perhaps Asencia can return to Solum in 2384 and enjoy the fact that he blocked First Contact with the Federation, which led to civil war and the destruction of the Vau’Nakat homeland. Of course, Asencia’s plan could still fail. Star Trek: Genius‘s season 1 finale “Supernova, Part 2” and how she reacts to it can be fascinating. in Asencia, Star Trek: Genius created a highly intelligent, sneaky and formidable villain who more than rivals the entire Protostar crew. Moreover, Admiral Janeway has a reckoning with former Ensign Asencia for deceiving her. Asencia has a lot to pay off, so not killing her was the best move.
Star Trek Killing Bad Guys Waste Their Potential
Some new Star Trek villains have sadly been killed before they reach their full potential. Star Wars: Discovery still hasn’t found a villain to match Captain Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs), who died at the end of the Mirror Universe arc of season 1. Star Wars: Discovery Season 3 introduced Osyraa (Janet Kidder), the leader of the Emerald Chain crime syndicate, to another compelling heavyweight player. Osyraa was established as an ingenious and resourceful foe for the 32nd century Federation. Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) kills the Orion leader at the end of the battle. discovery Season 3 was a narrow-minded waste of a great character.
Star Trek: Picard Season 1 also killed off Colonel Narissa (Peyton List), Zhat Vash, who robbed the show of an interesting villain. Similarly, the Confederate Judge (Jon Jon Briones) made a brief but memorable impact. Star wars; Picard season 2 before he was killed. While it could be argued that all these villains fulfilled their purpose, someone like Osyraa could have been a major recurring foe and hindrance to Captain Burnham. When Star Trek kills the big baddies, it’s a waste of material, but Star Trek: Genius He did the smart thing by letting Asencia live so that he could return in the future.
