The youth drama starring Van Der Beek in the lead role lived a second life thanks to being on the air. In recent years, a new generation of fans has invested in the complex friendships between Dawson, Joey (Katie Holmes), Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Jen (Michelle Williams). But with this resurgent popularity, some scenes of the series have definitely been re-examined in a different light.

Will A Dawson’s Creek Begin Again?
For those hoping that Holmes and Van Der Beek will recreate the famous Dawson and Joey confrontation, this seems highly unlikely. Over the past few years, actors have said quite consistently that they haven’t seen the benefit of returning to their old roles. For example, Jackson joked that he was too old. Dawson’s Creek revival. But beyond its humor, the explanations seem to reach into the fact that this series was made in a certain time period and speaks of a prevailing 1990s culture and conversation that would not be fruitful to resurrect.
Despite being influential and helping launch the careers of the four core cast members in addition to series creator Kevin Williamson, there’s nothing about it. Dawson’s Creek this lends itself to rebooting. It was a teen drama and since then most of the viewers have borrowed or otherwise altered some aspects of it.
