Genshin Impact’s official Twitter account has revealed that the two new Dendro characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, will be available with the version 3.6 update expected to be released on April 12.
The dev team took a look at the new characters and their backstory, but no details have been revealed about their abilities at this time. Traditionally, HoYoverse reports on brand new and re-released banners that will be available with the next major update. With version 3.5 about to arrive, the team provided an early look at Baizhu and Kevah, which will appear in the world of Teyvat in early April.
Baizhu is a five-star Dendro character who takes care of the zombie girl Qiqi. She is the owner of the Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue, whose skills heal all diseases. Official character descriptions hint at Baizhu’s abilities, saying he won’t be able to save all of his patients. This could be an indication of one of the healing abilities that can only be used for a companion.
He is a well-known healer in the Feiyun Slope region, and his ever-present smile hides his lonely suffering. Players can expect Baizhu to unleash both shield and support abilities and use a Catalyst as his weapon.
Kaveh is a famous architect in Sumeru, where she lives as Alhaitham’s roommate at the Academy. The five-star character Dendro was idolized by Kshahrewar students as a role model, and his professional design skills have made a name for Kaveh. He also attaches importance to the aesthetic and human elements he is interested in.
Kaveh will most likely serve as a supporting character, using Dendro’s vision as a primary weapon alongside Claymore. Players can expect Kaveh to work in sync with other team members as it has been reported that her own capacity for Dendro damage will be limited.
Alongside the addition of Dehya and Mika to the game, version 3.5 includes re-released posters for Shenhe and Ayaka. Archon Quest, brand new enemies, events, weapons and TCG improvements will also be available as part of the update, which will be released on March 1.
