Japanese studio Nippon Ichi Software has revealed in a brand new trailer, mechanical judge Suisen, the fifth title character of strategy RPG Disgaea 7, set to release on January 26. . and Allies, this is the first of Disgaea 7 character trailers ever to introduce one of the game’s enemies.
A biological weapon in a mechanical body, Suisen is a robot and one of the thirteen judges working under the treacherous Oedo Shogunate. Thanks to his immense powers of divination and prophecy, Suisen holds the important office of Official Clairvoyant as a judge. He appears loyal to the Shogunate and takes the position he occupies quite seriously.
Although Suisen is best known for her powers of prophecy, she also exhibits significant combat abilities: in combat, she uses the strength built into her mechanical body to launch attacks and fend off enemies. One of his special moves, as shown in the trailer, allows his arms to transform into laser-edged swords that can then slash through any opponent at near supersonic speed.
Suisen’s clairvoyance also shows on the battlefield. By collecting a significant amount of data, Suisen is able to predict incoming attacks and retaliate before these attacks are made. Clairvoyant powers and martial skills aside, Suisen is deeply immature and often speaking in a monotonous tone suited to a robot, his voice quickly becomes brash and childish when sparks of emotion fly.
In Disgaea 7, Suisen is shown as an obstacle to Fuji and the gang, stopping them in their quest to collect the Seven Weapons of Origin and overthrow the Shogunate. The voice of Suisen will be Japanese actress Maki Kawase, whose previous roles include Rena Miyauchi from Blue Reflection: Second Light and KMS Z2 from Azur Lane. Kawase will also voice the character of Machina in the upcoming visual novel RPG Loop8: Summer Of Gods.
Disgaea 7 will be released in Japan on January 26 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. At the time of publication, there are no known plans to release the game internationally. The next character trailer for the series, scheduled for release on January 20, will introduce fans to the brutal and annoying Ao character.
