Singer named Aima Baig and shamed the news outlet FHM Pakistan for editing a statement from a four-year interview and distorting it to imply that she was in love with her brother. She made several statements and explained what she had said, demanding a public apology for such “heinous and vile accusations.”
She took to the matter on Thursday on Instagram and wrote, “I don’t usually come forward to clarify my statement.[s] However, this post caught my attention when my advertiser sent it. [it]. I loathe this yellow journalism FHM Pakistan. What a frightening, shameless ideology they share. I don’t know if they’re spreading a shameless agenda, but at least don’t make me a part of it. I literally want to throw up…. Seriously.. like anything for opinions. Seriously, WORK HARD OR LEAVE ME ALONE. Shame on you. Like BIG TIME.
“It’s common to fall in love at this age, you get a new love every day,” said ‘Rent Free’ singer Samina Peerzada in an interview. When asked about his first love, he said, “I remember my first love was at a friend of my brother’s when I was 10. My brother is seven years older than me and he [the crush] he was also my brother but I was in love with him because he had those crystal blue eyes and that’s when I thought, Yasar, What is this, so is this real?’ So this was my first love. Other than that, you continue to fall in love with celebrities. I don’t know why I never fell in love with so many Pakistanis, I always fell in love with Hollywood actors.
The video circulated again on social media, but she cut the part where she said her brother was her friend, making it sound like she was in love with her brother.
Baig left a comment under the news source’s post, noting that it was a manipulated version of his interview. “Actually what is that???? I’ve never said anything stupid like that, WTH! Have some shame. Seriously, is this something we really need to talk about? [You] Clearly [do] I don’t know how sensitive this topic is [is]”
The ‘Baazi’ singer reposted it to reveal that FHM Pakistan categorically denied that her video was edited. “[They’re saying]’no, you said you were your brother, my real brother’. [This] it’s getting funny now that i legally liked this page and i think some sensible people are sitting behind it [it] but again, SHOCK EYEBROWS are back,” he wrote.
He posted a link to the entire video, telling people to click “to see the truth.” “However, it’s disgusting to even talk about it, but they need to know how a false ideology can destroy an entire nation.”
Baig also shared the unedited part of his story.
He demanded a public apology for “such a heinous and despicable accusation”. [levelled against] I want him” and the news source to “delete all these spam, grumpy posts about this useless and ridiculous news. [sic]”.
The publication did not publicly respond to Baig’s requests.
