Multan Sultans made it to the finals of Pakistan Super League for the third time. And boy, was it a wild ride. They had everyone glued to their television screens during their game against the Lahore Qalandars on Wednesday night. The blue (and green) shirts managed to beat the Kalandars with more than five to a staggering 84 laps. The match drove netizens crazy, but it wasn’t just because of the shocking scorecard.
The match was full of heated moments, but the match between Kalandar’s Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sultan’s Kieron Pollard delighted netizens that PSL has finally “reached the top”. After all, who doesn’t love watching some drama and fights?
A Shaheen fan applauded his courage to stand up to a former cricketer like Pollard, who was also named player of the match.
However, another fan reminded everyone that the West Indian is not Bismillah Khan – someone who was sacked shortly after an argument with Shaheen on the field.
Everyone needs to calm down, tbh.
The confrontation between Shaheen and Pollard wasn’t the only hot moment of the night. Rilee Rossouw and Fakhar Zaman also had a brief encounter celebrated by cricket fans online. Talk about being a ‘gentleman’s game’.
A fight or a guiding Lahori?
Other things are happening in the country right now, friends.
Does PSL actually mean ‘Phadda Super League’? Some fans think so.
Multan made it to the final. Who else do you think will get through?
