Filmfare Femina Bhojpuri Awards 2023: Grand Celebration of Talent and Contribution
The Filmfare Femina Bhojpuri Icons 2023 presented by CSP Foods and co-hosted by Filamchi Bhojpuri concluded in a grand spectacle of glamour and excitement. The event was a testament to the partnership between Femina and Filmfare, which aimed to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to society and the film industry.
This inaugural collaboration between Filmfare and Femina recognized and honored the achievements of those involved in the Bhojpuri entertainment sector. The awards also paid tribute to notable figures who have made substantial contributions to literature, sports, music, and social welfare.
The ceremony, titled “CSP Foods Presents Filmfare Femina Bhojpuri Figures,” celebrated both real-life and reel-life figures who have left an indelible mark on culture and the film industry. The star-studded event took place on Sunday, July 16, in Lucknow, with celebrities such as Rani Chatterjee, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kisan, Khesari Lal Yadav, and Yash Kumar in attendance.
The evening was divided into two segments: Real and Reel. The Real segment acknowledged everyday heroes for their services to society, while the Reel segment highlighted the talents and appeal of the Bhojpuri film industry.
In the Real category, awards were given to Sharad Sagar (Inspiring Entrepreneur), Sakibul Gani (Emerging Talent in Sports – Male), Prakhar Pranjwal (Youth Icon), Manoj Bhawuk (Outstanding Contribution to Literature), Zafar Iqbal (Sports Icon), Shovana Narayan (Outstanding Contribution to Performing Arts), Chandana Dutt and Ritesh Singh (Outstanding Contribution to Education), Sweety Kumari (Emerging Talent in Sports – Female), and Sharda Sinha (Outstanding Contribution in Music).
The Reel category saw Pawan Singh and Kajal Raghwani winning the Icon of the Year awards for their respective roles in “Mera Bharat Mahan” and “Chalte Chalte”. Promising Star of the Year awards went to Chintu Pandey for “Sasura Bada Satawela” and Yamini Singh for “Naya Vivah”.
Pawan Singh and Priyanka Singh were named Singers of the Year for their songs in “Mera Bharat Mahan” and “Doli Saja Ke Rakhana” respectively. Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua and Pakkhi Hegde were recognized for their Outstanding Contribution to Bhojpuri Movies. Manoj Tiwari received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Khesari Lal Yadav was named Entertainer of the Year.
The Blockbuster Film of the Year award went to “Jaanwar Aur Insaan”, with its director Rajkumar Pandey receiving the Blockbuster Director of the Year award. “Aashiqui” was named Musical Cinema of the Year, while Sanjay Mishra was honored as the Pride of Bhojpuri Soil. Ravi Kishan was awarded for his Outstanding Performance in Indian OTT and Cinema.
The Filmfare Femina Bhojpuri Awards 2023 was indeed a night to remember, celebrating the best of talent and contribution in the Bhojpuri entertainment sector.
