BISE Mirpur AJK has announced a revised grading system for SSC 1st Annual Exams 2024. This new grading system is in line with the decisions made by IBCC and PBCC regarding the standardization of grading systems across educational boards.
Under the revised grading system, students’ result cards will initially display both their grades and Grade Points (GP) alongside the marks obtained. However, only the grades and GPs will be indicated on the result cards. This two-stage approach to the grading process reflects a transition towards a more grade-focused assessment system.
A significant change that students and educators must be aware of is the increase in the passing marks criteria. For the 9th class’s first annual exams in 2024, the minimum passing marks have been raised from 33% to 40%.
This adjustment in the passing threshold underscores the board’s commitment to enhancing educational standards and encouraging better academic performance among students.
